Dr. Jorg-Peter Rabanus is currently the only cosmetic dentist in San Francisco who is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He was born in Neumünster, Germany, and completed his dental training in Berlin as best of his class (class valedictorian) of 160 students. He also received highest honors (summa-cum-laude) for his thesis. In fact, he was only the third person to have received a summa-cum-laude for a doctor's thesis during the 100 years of existence of his dental school. The topic of his thesis was on the subject of Oral Biology. He also completed 2 years of Medical School and took his first Medical Board at the University of Homburg in Germany.
Dr. Rabanus received a National Award for his thesis and obtained a scholarship by the German Research Council for a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in the field of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the University of California in San Francisco. Here he also completed a one-year residency of Advanced Education in General Dentistry, where he received training in advanced concepts of dentistry. He has given presentations at national and international meetings and has written numerous publications.
Dr. Rabanus was certified by the American Board of Oral Medicine. He has since changed the emphasis of his interests and now focusses on smile makeovers and comprhensive dental rehabilitation.

He has been selected among "America's Top Doctors" for many years.
Dr. Rabanus sees patients by appointment only. His goal is to spend more time with each of his patients to truly understand their needs and goals. He believes that spending much time communicating prior to any dental treatment is indispensible to attain excellent results. He also intends to continue teaching dentists about the discipline of Cosmetic Dentistry to multiply high-level cosmetic dentistry services to dental patients worldwide.
